Chilled hostel in a good location in Old town Quito Jan 26, 2010
This hostel is one of my favorites. It was like being in a friendly shared house. It is only small so you get to know people easily. It was very clean, hot showers, free wifi and internet. It is not a party hostel though when I was there all the travellers got together in the bar for a fussball comp and then went out to La Ronda for live music. Nice chil out lounge, gym equipment. It is located more in the old town of Quito which is really beautiful and worth spending time in. No nightlife in the area which you find in the New town area, but for me that area is seedy and not called "gringoland" for nothing. Overall a perfect place to chill out and see the sights. Highly recommend for those not looking for the big noisy party backpacker hostel.

Friendly and helpful staff Sep 17, 2009
Hostel Revolution is a great place to chill out for a few days - this is definitely not a party hostel, so if you're looking for a lively place to stay, look elsewhere! However, Matt the Aussie guy who owns the place, is friendly and very helpful and the hostel has everything you really need, including wi-fi, decent kitchen, hot showers, all for $7 a night, so its good value.
