Hostel La Candelaria

The Hostel La Candelaria is well located to use as a home base to explore the Northern Yucatan. The Hostel La Candelaria is easy to find and is a short walking distance to the Zocalo, a currency exchange office, the tourist office, a laundromat, a good hospital and the post office. The Hostel La Candelaria facility includes a shaded patio, an outdoor kitchen, an area to do hand washing of your laundry, a common room with television and free lockers. Bring your own lock, there were no locks for sale on my last visit. A light fresh fruit breakfast is included in the price. A bunk bed is about $14.00 per night. There are also some private rooms offered at about $30.00 per night. I have used this place because of the location, laundry washing area and I can cook my own meals for my day trips.
