Quiet Hostel, still in a great area of Singapore Jun 09, 2011
This hostel is a bit far out of the where the normal hostels around, one train stop more, but it's fine and the area is safe. It's about a 20 minute walk from Little India, so if you're on a budget, you can easily walk. I did it by myself, at midnight, and I'm a 21 year old girl and I had no problems.
The hostel its self is 3 levels, the 1st if just reception and the other two are rooms and internet, and a kitchen, and FREE laundry(which I loved!) The rooms are very modern and the beds are more than comfortable. There is a free breakfast of teas, toasts, fruit and coffee in the morning and you can just help yourself. However there is always free toast, so if you're feeling like a snack you can just help yourself.
The staff aren't around all that much, but if you need them you can get in contact with them. The one thing I really liked about this hostel was that instead of getting someone to bus you in and out all the time, they give you a key to the front door (which is massive and super heavy) that you can operate yourself.
