Hostal Luis XV Reviews - Madrid

This Hostal was very much like a decent hotel. It is located right on Gran Via, a few blocks away from Puerta del Sol. It is great location, near shopping district, within minutes of Plaza Mayor, very close to city center.

The hostal itself is located on the 8th floor of a residential building, taking up a both the 7th and 8th floors. The rooms are nice, clean, and decent for the money. The only negative is that the walls are REALLY thin. You could hear every moan and scream...

One interesting thing is that on Calle Montera, right outside the hotel, there are prostitutes waiting for work all the way down the block. At first you might think it devalues the hotel, but they don't bother you unless you start talking to them first.

The hostal staff speaks very little english, but they are nice and accomodating to those like myself who have very little spanish. They help you as best they can which is a very good quality.
