Darwin, the manager of Hostal Gypsy, went above and beyond the call of duty. My 13 friends showed up without a reservation. He found a space for everyone. Then, he arranged activities (e.g. canopying and tubing) and reserved bus tickets for the entire group for no extra fee. Even though I was staying at a different hostel, he graciously included me in the activity bookings so that I would be able to stay with my friends. Darwin's desire to entertain us never ceased. When he saw us waiting for a bus, he offered to take us to a hummingbird reserve for free. The luxury hotels that I have stayed in have never offered this much personal attention and service.
