Basic hostel Jun 01, 2009
I stayed at Hostal colonia in June which is middle of winter. so there was hardly anyone here. The staff at the hostel weren't the friendliest, especially the old man who insisted on controlling the TV in the common room and he was rather rude to one of the other travellers. They had no heating for the winter, so with a few blankets I was just about ok at night.
The bathroom adjacent to my dorm was pretty poor - the shower was weak and didn't have much hot water and the bathroom didn't look that clean. Overall, it's on ok place to stay - it is cheap (I paid only U$204/night which is about £5, with a HI discount included). Breakfast (which included nice fresh bread) was included.
