Hosanna House
Hosanna House Reviews
Disappointing to say the least Aug 08, 2008
As a first time traveler to Los Angeles I booked into this hostel because it was close to the Convention Center, however I did not expect this place! it was fairly hard to find, the advert said bedding was provided then I was informed it would be $10 for a pillow, sheet and blanket. I found the location unnerving too.
The 'free laundry' was a washing machine requiring quarters and a dryer in the yard, none of the pictures match the property apart from the outside shot. The 'included breakfast' was a packet of pancake mix in a cupboard next to a hotplate... which I had to walk through a boys dormitory to access. Bathrooms were dirty and the 'secure storage' was a draw with a padlock, in a bathroom! no good for storing my laptop at all. Oh and fire-ants made the short stay uncomfortable too. When I decided to leave for somewhere I would at least feel safe I tried to claim back half of my money, bear in mid I booked for 12 nights and stayed only one... I would think a half refund would be acceptable but as soon as I tried asking the manager stopped speaking English and was unnerving. Would never stay there again I can safely say. |
