Just another of the spectacular falls in this area Aug 16, 2009
Horsetail Falls, at 176 feet tall, is an easy to get to and very impressive horsetail-shaped waterfall (it is named well). There is a pool for swimming or wading, though it might be a bit on the cold side. Don't forget to follow the trail from here up to the top to see Ponytail Falls, about a third of a mile away. It is another 100 foot falls. Horsetail is one of about 25 falls along the Columbia River Gorge just east of Portland, Oregon, and is one of the easiest to get to and is even accessible to wheelchairs.
