I went to bed at 3am this morning. I had to be up by 5am. I stayed up to watch the aurora borealis till 2am. It was beautiful; there were streaks of white with green and red. August 9So I woke up quite early in Lakselv and get breakfast, prepared and eventually said goodbye to Anne and the children before getting on the road... I walked by the church and tried to get a short through a kindergarten area which was pretty weird when I noticed...Finally, I found a good spot along the road and stopped there and did some pictures of myself and the area around before awaiting for the few cars passing by. it was a great road trip throughout scandinavia. at the end of the road was nordkapp, the northernmost tip of europe! a beautiful rock over the ocean looking towards north pole! i was lucky to see the midnight sun! honningsvag was a great little town! the hike to spiritual kirkeporten was uplifting!

3 weeks in Northern Norway - Tromsø and North Cape.. And then - an impulse decision: Svalbard - 78° N! After two weeks of rain, rain, rain we needed to experience something different. I love the arctic climate and nature - so why not spend a few days on Svalbard?! It was a great experience!!
