To get to Hong Kong I had to cross the Chinese - Hong Kong border and I get my exit stamp out of China and an entry stamp into Hong Kong. The first thing that stuck me was that the Honkies were driving on the left in stead of the right just as mainland China is doing. The good thing is that most people on the street speak at least some words of English and that everything is signposted in English.
I even had to exchange my Yuans, which I have grown attached to in the last few months, to Hon…

In summary, HK was basically a LOT of shopping and clubbing and eating. Good times man....

We were told that a firework and laser display would be held at 9pm, so we made sure we were sitting in our balcony with camera and video camera in hand. It did not disappoint. A great show that was unique because the lasers and fireworks where projected and shot from the skyscrapers in Central Hong Kong. You need to be on the Kowloon side to appreciate it. You could go to one of the hotels on the Harbor and have drinks to wait for the show.

Our HK-San Francisco flight was hellish. I must give credit to Cathay Pacific's efforts to make the flight more enjoyable and comfortable (the in-flight entertainment system, approachable cabin crew, anything--from eye masks to mints--by your request). BUT THEY MADE THE MISTAKE OF SITTING THREE IMPS BEHIND OUR SEATS. Hindi ako nakatulog the whole 12 hours! They were awake the whole flight! Walang wala ang Paramore--which I added to my in-flight playlist and served as my soundtrack to fall…

Again we had a nice lie in this morning, even though we were woken by our Japanese room mate at 6am. When we did get up, Whitey and i went for a little walk to try and find a Hong Kong Kanye West concert poster we had seen in a shop window yesterday and left Michaela in bed....again. We didnt find the poster.
Back at the hostel we finished packing at got the MTR to central to catch the airport shuttle. The underground here is amazing. The just touch the destination you want on an interactiv…

On our first night, we went out and wandered around--to much for my
huffing and hazing grandmother, actually (so she just stayed at the
hotel for the rest of the vacay).People around here doesn't
sleep by nine! It's, like, their night starts at ten. Everyone's still
walking around in their coats in the streets by twelve. We went to this restaurant that offers hot pot. The food's okay, I guess. But there's more to the resto than food.Yum!My brother-- takaw tingin na naman s'ya.We met Fish, …
