I used to live in Homer as child and my cousin used to also. We both decided to check out the town to see if it was everything that we remembered it to be. We saw LOTS of moose, which is pretty much part of what I remember about living there. The town was small but awesome and kinda funky. I loved it! Saw a local band play at the local Irish pub, bought their CD and fell in love with the bass player. Lot's of beautiful scenery which I will try and share with you all thru these pictures. ENJOY!

Went for a day of paddling and a day of hiking in Kachemak Bay state park across the bay from Homer (cool ride in a water taxi from Smoke Wagon with crazy local Bryan, who sorted me out with kayaks as well). Everything about it was awesome - glaciers, snow capped peaks, loads of wildlide, loads of …

First on
the agenda for today was laundry. Since
it was a rainy day, the laundry room was a busy place. Lots of people had the same idea. After finishing the laundry, we just relaxed
for a while and then as the rain let up we wandered down onto the spit just to
see what we cou…

We moved the RV today to the 2nd Homer City campground, further down the Spit, right beside the fishing hole, on the ocean again. It’s very convenient for running between the RV, fishing, shops, etc.
We’re having a great time and the weather is sunny and cr…

If you've never been there pictures just don't tell the story. I go there to fish each year and each time I go I'm amazed at what I see although it's not always a trip for the faint of heart

Today we moved campsites, though we are still in Homer.
We rented fishing poles and we to the fishing hole
I think the fish were mocking us because they would jump up and perform but they never bit the line. Oh, well.
After a few hours of fishing but catching nothing, we went …
