Very nice Mediterrannean and Middle Eastern Food Mar 01, 2010
This restaurant is a very nice place to taste great Middle Eastern and Mediterrannean cuisine. I strongly recommend their Kufta Kebab. It's very good for an affordable price. Don't forget to have the Yoghurt Drink (Ayran) to have with your kebab ;)

Also their Falafel is the best in the town, and so cheap! My friend try the Quail and that looks great, too. They also serve Hummus, Tabbouleh and Baba Gannoush as sides.

They bring some eggplant-tomato mixed appetizer before your order and that's so nice of them. Positive!!!

Basically, less than $15 (appetizer, entree, drink, tax and tip included), you can have a great meal. Trust me!

However, don't try the Arabic Coffee here. It's not good, or they cannot prepare it well. By all means, Turkish Coffee is the best of this world (No nationalism, just Truth ;)) If you wanna have coffee after your meal, go to downtown Champaign by 10mins walking and find Kopi ;)

By the way, they serve Hookah on Friday&Saturdays after food service finishes around 10pm.

In general, Illinois is not so touristic but the biggest city is Chicago which is a very beautiful city. But nowadays, it's so cold (minus celcius degrees)... When you're planning to come, just do it after March :)

It's Illinois :) Since it's a university/college town, we have a variety of international foods (from Japanese to European) without local tastes. Also, we have kahve here :) I feel so lucky :)

Actually in USA, middle eastern or mediterranean food is so popular. There is also a Turkish restaurant in our town (name is Istanbul Restaurant) and it's also very popular among locals and foreigners :)

I bet if they would have called it Lebanese, Turkish or whatever food, people would stay away- to call it Holy Land food, was a very smart move, you think?
