Holmfirth Overview

Holmfirth is a small town on the A6024, within the Metropoliton Borough of Kirkless, in West Yorkshire, most famous for the filming of the classic TV show 'Last of the Summer wine'. It has the beautiful Rivers Holme and Ribble running through it, and is set within the Pennine hills. It is located close to the Peak District and consists of many smaller hamlets and villages within the most beautiful setting. The countryside and scenery in Holmfirth is simply breathtaking.

The Pennine Cycleways extend throughout the area making it the ideal spot for keen cyclists and walkers alike. A place highly recommended for explorers.
