Holmenkollen Ski Jump May 31, 2011
When you come to see Norway, You also probably see the capital of Norway " Oslo", In this city there is the ski Jumping place that just been renovated last year and it is so huge and high ski jumping place and it's called " Holmenkollen".

Also in this area, Some Winter sport competitions like Skiing cross country can also be held here as the area is very large to do some winter sports.

It is not difficult to reach this place from oslo only take minutes by car, subway or bus. When you plan to go there with the public transportation then you can see the time table as it is sometimes there are various schedule.

take a look www.trafikanten.no for more further info of it.

As Norway is Nordic country and also famous with the cold temperature as mostly the winter season has heaps of snow. Therefore Ski Jumping sport or winter sports are very fond of in mostly part of scandinavia countries, So when you visit oslo then Spare your time to take a look at this place as well.

Up the stairs, down the jump? Jul 01, 1997
The Holmenkollen is the famous ski jump that is situated in Oslo. This sight is definitely a must both in summer and winter, no matter if enthusiastic sportsman or 'just' interested visitor.

Since its opening in 1892 this location has hosted many different winter sport championships and is a popular destination among tourists.

Okay, you don’t have to jump if you’re not brave enough but the view from the top of the ski jumping tower is truly fabulous and the impressions of Oslo and the Oslofjord leave a mark.

I absolutely liked the stadium in summer time because it brought a different and not so often felt atmosphere to a place that is known for its magnetic effect on wintry days.

The Holmenkollen Ski Museum, which is located at the base of the tower, offers an insight into the complex skiing history. Time flies – yesterday we stood on hand-carved skis and nowadays we’re sliding on high tech boards. Come and have a look around the world’s oldest museum of this kind.

All in all the Holmenkollen is a fascinating spot to visit because it offers a pretty pleasant mélange of tradition, sporty fun and touristic hot spot – you shouldn't miss this unique experience!
