Hollywood Vacation Guide

This portion of Los Angeles, west and slightly north of downtown L.A., is best known for the movie and television industries, which is evident when walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame where you'll find the stars.

Originally known as Hollywoodland, Hollywood is famous for the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard, Graumann's Chinese Theater, Griffith Observatory, Griffith Park, Hollywood Bowl, and of course the intersection of Hollywood and Vine.

Melrose Place is located in West Hollywood. Melrose Avenue is packed with all kind of stores, allthough mainly clothing stores. They're small, but pretty cozy.

Many of the ritzy stores you hear about celebrities going to are located in Hollywood. Check out Robertson Blvd and the corners of Hollywood and Vine to get a glimpse of where the stars shop, it won't be cheap though.

To take you back in time to the sparkle of the Hollywood elite visit the Hollywood Roosevelt, which opened its doors in 1927. Sit in their lounge area to imagine what it would have been like to mingle with the Cary Grant, Judy Garland or the every beautiful Marilyn Monroe.
