Holiday Isle Resorts & Marina
Holiday Isle Resorts & Marina Reviews
Apr 30, 2007
When someone tells you that a picture doesn't do justice, it usually means something is better than the picture portrays. Not in the case of the Holiday Isle Resort. Pictures on their web-site portray an incredible ocean front resort, but reality revealed a tired, rundown, and unmaintained toilet. From carpeting you wouldn't walk on barefoot to a bathroom door with a hole chewed in the bottom large enough for whatever chewed it to escape, the Holiday Isle Resort shouldn't even be considered as your last resort! When we checked in, we couldn't understand why the beach and pool were packed beyond capacity, not a beach chair to be had, and the only way to have gotten into the pool would have been with a shoe horn. We would have our answer at five o'clock when the beach and pool emptied... as did the parking lot. Not mentioned on their web-site, or at check-in, was the fact that the Holiday Isle Resort, was an open facility! The reason guests paying $250.00 per night, for a room barely fit for anyone who only bathes weekly, was it had been taken over by non paying, mostly teen age, locals. Before we would recommend this property, there would need to be a shortage of large appliance boxes!
