Holiday Inn University Pittsburgh
Holiday Inn University Pittsburgh Reviews
Business hotel near University of Pittsburgh and CMU Sep 30, 2008
The Holiday Inn Select Pittsburgh At University Center is a typical higher-end Holiday Inn located on the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University campuses (several miles from downtown). Availability can be somewhat limited as the Universities tend to use it frequently for campus guests. The list price can also be a bit high, but booking through priceline or hotels.com can greatly reduce the price.
The staff is pleasant and helpful. After a disappointing breakfast in the hotel restaurant (the waitress was unclear with the buffet and service was slow), we found a gift basket with apologies in our room. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are clean and stylish with large bathrooms. The restaurant quality has gone down considerably in the last five years, but the bar is still well stocked and enjoyable. Amenities: pool, fitness center, conference rooms, free wifi (last stay Sept. 2008) Part of the Pittsburgh travel blog |
