We arrived late at night and needed a hotel but had trouble finding a reasonably priced hotel in the Torrance area. Typically, hotels seem to be higher during the weekdays since they are more suited for business travelers. When I used to work for a rental car company, they sent all their out of town employees there to stay. Also convenient to Honda, Toyota, and Nissan (when Nissan was in Gardena), it was a very popular hotel.
We called and got a fairly high rate (under $200) and decided to give it a try. They had discounts for AAA members thankfully. We checked in and soon found out their free Wifi which I needed for work in the morning was pretty lacking. You had to go through several sign on screens which meant my VPN didn't work and I really needed work access that night. We tried our personal computers and I think dial up might've been faster. Very surprising since they are a hotel catering to high volume business travel. We did not eat in the restaurants so cannot comment on the food options but it had a few people dining when we left in the morning. Overall, if you need a place to stay that is cheaper than the neighboring Mariotts, this will do. It's conveniently located to major freeways - 91, 405, and 110.
