Average hotel in a great location May 22, 2008
I stayed in the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in May of 2008. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very typical of a Holiday Inn. However, it could use a bit of modernization as the lobby and rooms were a bit circa 1980s. The staff was acceptable but did not go out of their way and the concierge had a hard time recommending a place for dinner.
Free wifi was great, but parking was a bit expensive ($28), though comparable for this part of Chicago. Location was fatastic. The hotel bar has one of the most spectacular views I have seen of Chicago. I will also say the bar staff was fantastic and the food and drinks were delicious and not overly expensive. We did not use the pool or exercise facilities so I am unable to comment on those. |
