We stayed at this hotel as part of a school trip for a grade 10 high school music class in the 1990’s
The hotel was located in the downtown area and was good spot for parking for your charter bus we travel in.
The rooms were nice and big as there was 4 of us to a room and they were clean. The beds were quite big and had lots of good blankets and sheets. We stayed on the 14th floor of the hotel as it also had a good balcony. Being high school children we used that to our advantage. We were throwing stuff off the balcony such as water balloons and a can of pop at the church across the street, bad but fun.
The hotel had a fantastic pool area, with a gym there as well. Spend many hours in the pool as it was big and water was nice and clean. As well a nice gym area with exercise machines was available there as well.
The lobby area was very inviting as it was nice and big for everyone to stand with their instruments.
Hotel is in good location as the sky walks are attached to it, you can walk all over downtown Winnipeg and never go outside.
The dining area was quite nice and attractive, However the food proved to be not worth its value, as it was very expensive for what you were getting.
Overall I would recommend this hotel for business travellers and anyone who wants to stay in downtown Winnipeg. The costs are reasonable here and you won’t be disappointed.
