Holiday Inn Hangzhou - Reviews - Hangzhou

When we arrived Hangzhou Holiday Inn, we were impressed by the staff. I left my purse in the cab (my passport was in it) it was the hotel staff who reminded me about the purse. We can’t imagine how much hassle we had to go thru if I lost my passport. Another thing worth mention is that the staff would go all out to get you a cab. There was one afternoon; we waited about 5 minutes in front of the hotel but no luck of getting one cab. The staff went outside the hotel compound (by the road side) hailed a cab and sat with the cab driver so that he make sure this cab is for us. There were some Chinese that came later then us but tried to hail that cab but the hotel staff directed the cab driver to stop in front of us. Thumbs up for the staff!!

The hotel lobby is huge. Staff at the reception speaks good English. No problem when we request a day use, room rate is half of what we paid.

Room is clean with comfortable king size bed. Flat screen TV, coffee and tea maker..

Big bathroom with more then enough amenities, they even provide bath ropes and good quality slippers. I am very particular about slippers, some hotels never provide slippers or even though some may provide it but it is so cheesy.

Hangzhou Holiday Inn provides guess services like booking/selling train tickets, money exchange. We were so glad that be bough our train tickets from the hotel after seeing the lines in the train station. There were many travel books telling us how busy the train stations are and never hope you will get a train ticket for same day departure!

They have Chinese and Japanese Restaurant, lobby bar and a café where you can sit outside with good cappuccinos. Foods are good. Although we did not take the buffet but we could see that there were variety of food consists of Western, Chinese and Japanese food.

The best thing is we paid only about $70 for a 5 stars hotel!

We will definitely go back to Hangzhou Holiday Inn.
