Holiday Inn Express Santa Barbara Reviews
Beatiful Hotel in Beautiful Town May 27, 2010
This is another one of those really nice and historical Holiday Inns. The property is ideally located in town close to the beach as well as the main tourist areas for shopping dinning and exploring . The staff was really really nice and welcoming.
We had a superb stay at Holiday Inn Express – it is not your average HI in fact there was nothing average about the service this hotel provides! The front desk staff all greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The staff were excellent helpful and knowledgeable, we were given very welcome advice about some of the local restaurant and coupons for a couple of these.
With most hotels in a downtown area, you run into problems with parking. We had no problems here. The parking was free and in a safe place right next to the property. They had cameras and staff that would stroll outside.
Our room was not enormous but had everything we liked and needed including a refrigerator, flat screen tv, comfortable beds, a variety of pillows on the bed, clean facilities and the like. We were very comfortable. I really liked that we could open the windows and enjoy the cool breezes when we were in the room. The bathroom was really nice. It was a bit small, but it had some really good décor and as always those great soaps and lotions. Each room has a coffee maker and a variety of coffees and teas.
They serve a nice hot breakfast each morning. I liked that you could sit out on the balcony and enjoy the cool weather while you ate. They served their great cinnamon rolls as well as hot items including sausage and bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, oatmeal and so much more. It was very filling and convenient.
The décor all throughout the hotel was very beautiful. When we arrived they were touching up paint on some of the doors. I liked that. Constantly taking care of their property. There were some really nice tile work and some beautiful art throughout. The small fountain in the lobby took you back to the historical Santa Barbara mission area.
There was no problem with noise but our room was at the rear and the only disappointment was the view from the window was of the parking lot. The hotel has a “good neighbor” policy which should be considered by other hotels I have stayed in.
A cheerful, friendly, clean hotel located within easy walking of main attractions like State Street and the beach.
The true test of good customer service, I always believe is when there is a problem and how it’s handled - here the hotel exceeded the high standard I had already experienced. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.
