Holiday Inn Express Holland

Despite being on *Felch* street, this Holiday Inn Express is indeed family friendly just like any other Holiday Inn.

I stayed at this location while in Holland for my nephew’s wedding. I stayed with a number of family members – it was not uncommon for us to gather in one room and be a family (loud and playing games and reliving stories and whatever else being “family” entails) and there were no issues (though we certainly weren’t loud very late into the night).

The hotel has an indoor pool and a decent sized dining room for the free breakfast.

One hint: If you happen to decide to order pizza from Sharkee’s Bar and Grill as it is advertised as local and that they will deliver, be aware that there is a somewhat hefty delivery charge, yet the restaurant is located in the Hampton Inn which is next door (Hampton Inn’s address is 12427 Felch, whereas Holiday Inn’s is 12381 Felch). If you are a reasonably ambulatory individual, it would be quicker and cheaper to just pick up the pizza yourself.

Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay, but also nothing out of the ordinary that would be surprising upon staying there.

*Felch, in this instance, likely refers to Alpheus Felch, who was a US Senator from Michigan and also the state’s fifth governor.
