Biggest rooms in Chiang Mai!! Sep 27, 2011
I stayed at the Holiday Inn on my first trip to Thailand in 2009. My friend found the hotel online, and booked for us during the Songkran holiday in April.
The hotel is not far from the Night Bazaar and city centre, yet to get to the old town it was about 15-20 minutes in a tuktuk. Also about 15-20 minutes from the airport. Upon arrival we recieved 3 chocolates shaped like elephants which were delicious. Our room was massive, yet the decor looked a little old. We had two queen beds, which were amazingly comfortable, and were even asked if we wanted to order pillows off their 'pillow menu'. We had air con, cable TV, and also had a fantastic view of the river and the mountains. The bathroom was large, with a separate shower and bathtub. Included in our booking was a full buffet breakfast each morning, in which we ate like crazy, filling ourselves up before exploring the city. They had everything from western dishes, Thai and Asian cuisine, and vegetarian meals. Staff never let our water glasses go empty, and were there ready and waiting to serve us. Staff were very friendly and accomodating, and even helped us book day trips to hill tribes, elephant camps and rafting. Our room was cleaned upon request, and each day we were given new slippers to wear. The lobby has computers for guests to use, yet you have to pay for the internet service. The hotel also has a great gym steamroom and sauna, which we only used once, as well as a good sized pool with a huge bar. Between 1000-1500baht a night, it was well worth it! I would stay again!! :)

This Hotel is a 5 stars to me.
at 47$ a day you get an excecutive room same as a 300$ here in north america. Staff are very very nice and polite. They put flowers on your bed everytime you are out of the room. If you tracel to Chiang mai it is a must. |

The hotel is a haven of comfort and style located in Northern Thailand’s most fascinating city. The hotel is only minutes from
some of the cities most famous temples and the renowned night bazaar. Rooms are the largest in Chiang Mai and have been designed with every comfort in mind. Many have beautiful views over the idyllic Mae Ping River and on toward Doi Suthep, the sacred mountain. In an ancient city of ultramodern sophistication, the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai Hotel is conveniently located just minutes from Chiang Mai’s temples and the Night Bazaar- one of Asia’s most fascinating markets. Each guest room --- the largest in Chiang Mai--was designed for unwinding, with room service on call 24 hours, a color television and in-room voicemail. Many also have beautiful views of the Mae Ping River or Doi Suthep, the sacred mountain. Enjoy great food and live entertainment at our restaurants and lounges. The Vienna Lounge offers live entertainment. Enjoy a meal at The China Palace, The Pool (which is poolside), or the River Terrace. We look forward to sharing your Chiang Mai experience. Welcome to the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai Hotel. -from the website Food is great.
