Holiday Inn Central Denver (Colorado)
Holiday Inn Central Denver (Colorado) Reviews
Industrial park location, but with free shuttle service Jun 17, 2008
This hotel is located in an industrial park, but don't let that deter you from choosing it, especially if you are a budget traveler like I am. It's cheaper than a downtown hotel, but the complimentary shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go within five miles, as well as take you to and from the airport. The longest I waited for a shuttle to take me downtown was 30 minutes, and it would have been less than that if I had called downstairs first. The longest I waited for the shuttle to pick me up from downtown was maybe 8 minutes from the time I had phoned them. Nice! If you want a room with a view, don't stay in this hotel: there aren't any. If you don't mind spending a little extra time to save $50 a night, this is a great "central" location.
The pool was not that great. It actually smelled like a sewer in the courtyard. The jets on the tub did not work. Another guest mentioned this to a maintenance worker while I was there, and the worker told him that it was working. It was "working," just very poorly. This is not a hotel to stay at if you are taking a relaxing vacation. If you are a Priority Club member, they give you coupons for 10% off in the restaurant, and a coupon for a free drink or a free dessert, for each night you stay. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was nothing to get excited about. The food was edible, but it didn't make me want to go back the next night either. Overall, the room and hotel were very clean, and the staff were all very nice. The shuttle drivers were very polite and offered useful information about the city.
