Its hard to put into words my feelings about Vietnam. I leave with mixed emotions about a country with a rich heritage and tremendous potential. I had some truly amazing experiences, but my lasting impressions will be of a people that put money above all else... (ie China)
In order to get a real feel for Vietnam, you MUST get off the Lonely Planet path. Its a watered-down experience to be honest. You're treated like a walking wallet. Get away from that scene and you'll see Vietnam...

Work up. It was raining and Da Nang was crap. No character what-so-ever. Walked for some food and got lost. Found myway back by Moto and grabbed my bags, ready to leave. A Moto rider was on his way to Hoi An at 11.00am so i had two hours to kill. Watched the Titanic - first time in years.…
