Hobo Hostel Nov 30, 2009
The Hobo Hostel is located on 60th Street, in a colonial neighborhood. I have only stayed here once and found it clean and safe. The Hobo Hostel is walking distance to a local market, a 24 hour supermarket, Paseo Montejo and the Anthropological Museum. The Hobo Hostel offers a bunk bed type of coed dorm, in-room lockers, a common room and a BBQ area. Breakfast is included in the price and was adequate. The Hobo Hostel also offers a guest kitchen and internet access. However, their computer was not functioning and I could not access the wireless hookup. The Hobo Hostel maintained a helpful and friendly staff at their reception desk 24/7. The facility was clean and well lite. I would stay here again if my budget forced me to or my favorite Merida hotel (Delores Alba)was full. The Hobo Hostel charged me less than $9.00 per night for a 6 night stay.
