I can't believe it's almost here. One week to go.  We are both ready. We got our hiking boots and socks, rain gear, thermal underwear, swimsuits(Blue Lagoon), jackets, gloves, and hats.  We bought our flybus tickets from the aiport to Keykjavik and have our hotel room booked.  We fly from Tampa to Philadelphia to Bosotn then it's on to Iceland.  On our way back it will be Iceland, Boston, Washington D.C. then home to Tampa. The name Takatuka was inspired by the children's book Pippi Longstocking. That alone is a clue as to why the place is like it is. I'd like to write more (and long overdue!), but I only have time to say I loved staying there. It's great for the solitary traveler as well as families. You never really know how you would react on your first dive, I was told.  So I decided to put it to the test.  Something about Takatuka really inspired me to take my first ever "Discover Scuba" dive there.  First, the dive shop looked very organized and clean, and the equipment looked in good condition (not that I'm an expert, haha).  So after a breakfast cooked by Cathy, I decided to book with Marc.
