The Peter Allen song starts "I've been to cities that never close down, New York and Rio and old London town" So I thought why not use the song to plan my trip? Add Tokyo and Lisbon, starting Dec 5.
Include New years eve and Carnival in Rio and check the Iguazu falls from the Argentine side.
My good friend Dave Wylie found me an apartment in Copacabana right near the beach, another good friend from my home in Surfers Paradise, Sudzie, said "hey mate I am coming with you to Rio".

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, was a bit chaotic. It had aspects of Bangkok, Phnom Penh, and Jakarta all mixed together...but usually not the positive aspects. And the tourist district of Pham Ngu Lao doesn't come across as appealing as other cities' tourist areas though. The city cent…

I have the days all mixed up now. I have no idea which date this should be and why I was on 14th when it should have been way later. Oh well. We wake up and it is now our last day in Vietnam, though I may have missed a few things here and there... We get up and we are going to the floating markets.…
