The end of April and the beginning of May 2009 I visited South-Africa & Swaziland with my parents and sister for 16 days. This vacation was all about the safaris and wild animals! We were very excited about it and we couldn't wait to see the first wild animals. We visited Johannesburg, Pretoria, Ohrigstad, Pelgrim's Rest, Kruger National Park, Swaziland, KwaZulu-Natal, Zululand, Hluhluwe Wildpark, St. Lucia, Durban, Drakensbergen ans lots of little villages inbetween.

05:15 uur loopt de wekker af. Ik ben nog helemaal niet klaar met slapen. Trudy en ik zorgen dat we gewassen zijn (moeten badkamer delen met Barbara) en om 05:30 rammelen we de dames uit bed. Om 06:00 vertrekken met open safariwagens naar het Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park. De rit er naar toe duurt on…

In een guesthouse op steenworp afstand van de ingang van het Nationaal Park van Hluhluwe-iMfolozi vinden we snel een goede slaapplaats, zodat we daarna de lekke band kunnen laten plakken. I enjoyed and great safari visit to Hluhluwe Imfolozi safari park and The greater Lucia wetland park.
I had an amazing time although I was disappointed that I didnt get to see any Lions or Elephants.
