Well, last night marked the eve of the eve of my departure. We celebrated Sarah's Birthday at the blindeye and we were all karaoke rock stars! I thanked Noah, the owner of the bar for putting on karaoke. I always had a good time there. Tonight we all got together for my farewell dinner. I just got done having a nice little sit down with my roommates. It is sad to be leaving these people behind. They have been my family for three months, but I would like to think that I will see them al...

Had to get up a little early to catch a car to the airport at 0800hr. Five of us were flying Rossiya Air (scary). Talk about a recipe for disaster. We were delayed an hour and of course that meant drinking at the bar. Pretty soon we were all on the hottest damn plane ever throwing shit at each other, getting up and purposely falling into each other’s seats, flicking ears of the sleepers, you name it. That poor plane had no idea what to do with us.We are staying at the nicest hotel in St Pet...

Despite changing from one bus to another, and two changes of metro lines as well from the airport I found my hostel easily. It's a good hostel and the guy on the reception was quite charming. It was late at night already but I didn't plan to sleep soon so I just hanged (or hung?) around the hostel and it was mostly just me and him. But I'm not very romantic and cheesy so after too many glances and smiling from both of us (I'm not making this up) I got confused and at one point and I suddenly ...

Prague is a wonderful city and I always enjoy coming back, especially in the summer or whenever the weather is warm and it is possible to sit at one of the many outdoor cafés in the inner city. One of my friend’s wife, who had joined us the first day at the golf had left for Prague early in the morning to visit the city for the first time.
After our 18 holes and the obligatory beer in the club house, we drove the 50 km to Prague to meet her in a cafe in the Jewish area, Josefov next to th...

Prague , Many people say its one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I was rather disappointed the last time i visited so decided to really spend my time well to see if this city lives up to the hype.Six Months have passed since i last was here in Prague , the weather had also changed , the same with my budget and traveling friends. It seemed like i was the only factor still remaining. While the last trip was a rush through European capitols this trip had been a trip through the Czech ...

We finally got there and booked into our rooms that were on the top floor with our own bathroom and a room with a view. No penthouse or a 5 star hotel could beat this or could it hahaha Well, its not the amount of stars you see that guarante you a good stay or an adventure....

I came to Prague to because I heard that it was crazy on New Years and I was not disappointed. We found out that there are numerous places in Prague to ring in the New Year. There is Charles Bridge, where an amazing fireworks display lights up the sky, popular by tourists and really chearry Czechs. Then there is Wenceslas Square, where they close down a major boulevard(This Champs Elysees) and thousands of Czechs party and drink all night. I heard that things get rathe...

One thing we really enjoy about Prague is that you can walk around in the inner city and you are not being run over by cars driving like crazy. Here you can stroll around and if you happen to walk on the street nothings wrong in this.
The streets of Prague are full of art shops, taverns, pubs and restaurants so there is plenty to do for five guys with out their wifes. We usually concentrate about the food and the drinks - and otherwise just relax. Every time we are here we do the walk up the...

I have always wondered what it would be like to travel alone. For the most part, it was amazing. And the Czech people I met have been very friendly and helpful. My only bad experience was my freak-out moment with the hair touching in Plzen. The other one, I blame on a tourist and had nothing to do with the Czech people or me traveling alone. I was on a street off Old Town Square in Stare Mesto heading towards Wenceslas Square when this guy stopped me to say hi.&n...

So it looks like Prague isn't really a breakfast town. There are very few places to get breakfast around here. Our hostel, Czech Inn and another place in town called Bohemia Bagels. Gregg, Pelayo, and I got up around 6:30 to go to the bagel place. Gregg got up earlier and went jogging and was getting a bunch of strange looks. I guess people never seen joggers before, odd since most people in Prague seem to be in great shape. Must be all the walking they do. We arrived at the bagel place and ...

After contemplating going to visit Prague for a while I finally did so in March of this year. I went for five days not really knowing what to expect but was told that building after building were amazing to look at and there were two things I had to see, The Charles Bridge and the clock on the Old Town Hall Tower in the Old Town Square.
On arrival at the Airport I purchased a 'Prague Passport' in the departure lounge. I was recommended by a friend to get one of ...

People i met here who contributed to, and improved my trip: Kristen (America), Margaret and Kelly (America), Maddy, Nat and Kate (England)
So after 18 months at home, im eventually back out on the road again. I'd been to Prague twice before, but never in the summer and although i liked seeing the city in the sun, it was a little too crowded for my liking. I did the normal touristy things like the Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square and Old town, but i was keen to escape the bustling crowd...
