Are you hispanic? Or do you just love the culture? Maybe you are just looking for something to do!
Head on downtown to the Hispanic Festival. Revel in south american, mexican, spanish, portugese, and central american culture! Many vendors are set up, selling all kinds of incredible food.. nachos, burritos, churos, tostadas, and many other authentic dishes from the latino community. Then head on over to buy some jewelry or some authentic clothing.. maybe you prefer to dance? Live music fills the square and you will find yourself dancing your heart out. Last year when I went, a young girl of about 10 years old, taught all of the college kids from my floor how to dance true hispanic dances. The passion in the air was thick, and we even danced through the pouring rain.. the music continued... Hispanic fest is a great opportunity for everyone to revel in the hispanic culture present in grand rapids. get your tush on over to it. September 7,8,9
