Does anybody know who Minamoto Yoshitsune is? Or Benkei? If you don't, I'm not gonna tell you! LOL! Go and find it for yourself! But they are very important to the history of Hiraizumi, the Tohoku semi-independent cultural capital around the 12th century. And thanks to Professor Schroeder and his Exploring Tohoku Culture class we could visit the town aspiring to be classified as World Heritage site and take part in the Ennon Matsuri, a tradition about 900 years old.
