Fantastic Nepalese Food! Jun 18, 2011
Himal Chuli is a fantastic little find!
The menu provided options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free and carnivores alike! Ask the waitstaff on what items are vegan and not. I ordered the samosas and a light mung bean stew called Khichardi. The samosas were baked instead of fried and the the Khichardi was a deliciously light and filling dinner. it came with a salsa of some sort and a choice of rice or roti.
Prices varied from $8 to $16. The portions are made for individuals.
The restaurant setting was small and cozy with cafe sized tables filling up the space. Music playing from a noisy kitchen and delicious smells teasing you until your meal came. You felt like you were in someones kitchen cafe while the outside world bustled by.
I would def return to this little nepalese cafe in the future. I loved the setting and the people!
