Hilton Princess Managua Reviews
Good but not Great Jul 07, 2011
I spent two nights at the Hilton in Managua. Normally I find the overseas locations of American chain hotels to be a bit better than their US locations. In this case I think it's about the same.
Positives are the good location near the shopping and financial district of Managua. Service was good (friendly, quick room service). Food prices are reasonable (beer for $2.50 USD). Is beer food?
The aspects I don't are for is the fact that the WIFI doesn't work well in my room (works fine in the lobby). The wired connection is fine. Both are free.
The business center has computers however you have to pay to use them (based on time). Never have I seen this in modern business centers. Also there is no complementary water bottles in the rooms, they are $1.50.
I'd stay here again but for $92/night in Central America I'd expect a bit more.

Hilton Princess Hotel Review Aug 15, 2010
1. Location is great. A block away from the mall. walking distance to a casino, burger king, McDonalds, and more.
2. 1 of only 2 decent hotels in Managua
3. nice service
4. Room service pretty good.
5. Nice views of the water from the rooms.
1. Not much to do in Managua
2. Not really safe to walk around at night
Overall I would recommend this hotel, but the Intercontinental is right across street and closer to the Mall.
Luxury in Managua Nov 01, 2008
As usual, we used Hilton HHonors Points to stay for free at the Managua Princess Hilton so the "value" aspect of this review may not be accurate (although I believe rates are very reasonable for a high-end hotel).
As far as location, I guess it is fine as there doesn't seem to be too much to do in Managua (nor is it all that safe) and there were some great little restaurants right in the neighborhood.
The HHonors floor was really nice with a huge, full complimentary breakfast as well as a happy hour with real food, not just appetizers. The staff were all very friendly and most everyone speaks English quite well. A nice pool to relax from the oppressive heat in Managua lies at the back of the property. The rooms are typical Hilton rooms, nicely appointed with fantastic beds.
