Hilton Park Munich

The Munich Hilton was a nice hotel to stay in while in the city because it was a bit away from all the noise of the center of the city, but close enough to enjoy all the fun things we tourists are really interested in seeing and experiencing.

The lobby is very impressive with a nice wide open modern look. The people at the counter all spoke a variety of languages, so communication was very easy. They always had a nice large bowl of fresh apple on the counter that helped to tame that late day hunger.

The rooms were really spacious with all the comforts of a Hilton. The beds and pillows were nice and comfy. The linens were crisp and white. I really slept well here. The rooms were very bright with large floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors. The room was also equipped with one of those famous mini bars. They also had a few snacks and coffee & tea available.

The bathroom was just great. The toiletries, all Crabtree and Evelyn, had a very clean scent to them. I just had to call down and have them bring me an extra set up to take back home with me. The towels were very nice and this was the first time I actually got a small wash cloth in the room. Everything had its place in the room. I really enjoyed stepping out of the shower and not having a foggy mirror. The provided those nice plush bath robes and even house slippers.

The entire property spoke luxury. The indoor pool and spa was very nice, even though we didn’t swim, we walk through it and we felt that spa experience.

This hotel was an easy to walk to the Marienplatz center but even easier to go by s-bahn. There are two large supermarkets next to the hotel - Aldi and Hit - where you can purchase almost anything and there is also a Subway sandwich restaurant if you like a little familiarity!

It was also a nice little stroll to the Haidhausen Christmas market just a few feet up the street from the hotel. It was much smaller than the one at Marienplatz but had a great atmosphere.
