Slightly dated Hilton on the Thames May 08, 2011
Went to London for a long weekend (April 11') Stayed at the Hilton, first impressions were not brilliant, hotel was pretty difficult to navigate, lots of windy corridors and had a business feel about it. We had a room on the top floor over looking Canary Warf, amazing views as our room was on the corner so we could see both direction on of the Thames, The suite was nice, however a little dated, considering it was around £200 a night, needed a refurbishment to get it to Hilton standards!

The air con wasn't brilliant either so the rooms were hot and muggy.

We only experieced the brekfast but it was amazing! The queing to the brekfast room wasn't however once in and seated theres the usual continental stuff and a cooked brekfast with chefs to make omlettes on demand! Lovely, not the most convinient of hotels for transport, however there was a free Hilton shuttle bus taking you from the hotel to the nearest tube station (Canada Water) which runs until 11pm, if you miss it a taxi is reasonable.

Pretty easy to check in/out no dramas there, room wasn't ready by the time we got there so our luggage was stored in a secure room, I would recommend going, butI think thats my stomach talking, if i was to stay in London again I would choose somewhere more centeral

Well, OK. Room = so-so, breakfast = good. Location = Meh.. Jun 16, 2011
Location is horrible. It has a very beautiful river view, it's true. But the way to get there.. either you take their shuttle van service (free) or take a ferry (not free). It makes you very lazy to go in the city. Once you are back in the hotel you just wanna stay and find reasons not to go out again. It's good if you just plan to take a few days to do nothing much in London but enjoying the view of the River Thames , and that's all.

Breakfast = you always have to queue for. Super busy. Never had enough tables. But breakfast itself is excellent.

Guest room = so,so. Noting "wow"

Common area is nice. Hotel itself has interesting character, since the "dock" is still there even.

Internet = not free but not crazy expensive. Can live with that.

Staff = Friendly, helpful

But will I stay again? No. I prefer something less "exclusive" but better location.

For a Hilton (in London, of all places), the price was moderate; our bedroom was more like an apartment, with a walk-in room, a 'master bedroom' to the right, a decent-sized bathroom, and another room with two twin beds on the left. Each room had its own television and Pay-Per-View came free with the bill. Breakfast wasn't included, but it rounded off to less than ₤100/night (for all three adults). It was in a more secluded part of town, facing the River Thames. Commotion wasn't an issue at all, seeing as we were in the old industrial part of town, aptly named the 'Docklands.' The Hilton even had its own bar/lounge area downstairs where everyone was either eager to strike up a conversation or getting pumped about the Rugby game on either of the two plasma televisions on the wall. The hotel also had a pier to walk out on, its own boat (which we unfortunately never had the time to get on), and a dining area on the water. Everything was clean, the food was delicious (go for the traditional Sausages & Mash or the Club Sandwich), and the people were probably the nicest I had ever met. Within walking distance one can take the C10 bus or grab the Hilton shuttle (free of charge, and which runs about every 10 minutes until 11:30 pm) to the Canada Water tube station (which is easy enough to figure out!!) To put the cherry on top of my stay, I left behind a white sweatshirt and housekeeping was kind enough to send it back free of charge. If THAT isn't enough to make you consider staying at this wonderful hotel, I don't know what is!! I simply loved staying at the London Hilton Docklands and would return in a heartbeat!
