Hilton Hotel City Center Milwaukee
Hilton Hotel City Center Milwaukee Reviews
Beautifully renovated hotel downtown Jun 29, 2008
This 1920s hotel in downtown was previously known as the Marc Plaza (at least when I was a child), and had always been considered one of the best known high-end hotels in Milwaukee. It was purchased in the mid-1990s by the Hilton chain, and underwent a renovation which included restoring the 1920s grandeur. The hotel is a bit distant from the lakefront and Summerfest grounds, but is very close to the Midwest Airlines Convention Center, the Bradley Center, and the Old World Third Street area.
The hotel itself is a throw-back to the early 1900s, with opulent and grand design. Some of the rooms are small by American standards, but certainly sufficient. The rooms have a vintage style, but are graced with all the typical Hilton amenities. |
