Hilton Grand Vacations Club Flamingo Las Vegas

This was our home for a week, After a quick taxi ride from the Airport to the Strip, we we dropped off at the Taxi entrance to the Flamingo. This had the avantage that we did not need to go through the Casino to get from it to the check in desks, just a escalator ride. Our room was allocated as a garden view, so we did not have a view of the strip but the other option was to wait for an hour whilst they got one ready and after a 10 hour plus flight and the 8 hour time difference sitting arround with our bags was not part of a plan.

The room was a good size with a King bed, sofa, armchair and a desk & chair, with a seperate bathroom. Plenty of space also arround all the furniture.

We were on the 16th Floor and the views of the garden were mainly of the top of the palm trees.

We had choosen the Flamingo as it was one of the cheepest hotels on the strip, but still centrally placed, and the location was a good as it had looked from home. Caeser's was just over the road, the Bellagio, Mirage, Harrahs, Paris, Bally's were all within 5 mins walk, and even New York New York was a gental stroll.

As it is not themed, it does not stuffer from tourists clogging up the communial areas, which although it has 3000 rooms makes it seem a smaller more compact hotel.

Depending on the day of the week and the season, the Flamingo Hilton can be very cheap. I believe that you can still get deals where a double room is $50 or less. It is in a good location, fairly central to everything, so you can walk or take a short taxi ride to any point in the city.

The rooms and dining are not top-rate, but they are comfortable and clean. You won't be rollin' like a rock star, but you will not regret the experience.
