I needed to be near the airport so this appeared a safe bet. I was sadly mistaken. There was a terrible rumbling noise all night long which rendered sleeping difficult. The mattress had springs that stuck into your back. The bathroom had some weird 1970s tap system that would require expertise in plumbing to figure out. The reception staff didn't understand English and sold me a wireless internet access that would only work in the lobby. I understand that one part of this hotel is actually quite reasonable but I don't plan to go back to find out which.

 Great location for those flying in/out of Gatwick Jul 17, 2008
Sweet all around property with an awesome restaurant, but its best feature is being connected to the airport for those flying in/out of Gatwick. We decided to spend a few $ on our last evening in the UK and splurge for the buffet...and dear lord was it friggin' awesome. It also possesses a fantastic business center and if you're lucky you may get to stay in one of the newer wings with really modern rooms. A fairly large property to boot so if you're really looking for convenience it’s probably you're best bet in the area surrounding the airport, which seems to be more popular these days due to lower direct fares than the monster than has become Heathrow.
