Affordable Hilton close to SHOPPING! Apr 10, 2009
I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in North Scottsdale Arizona because it was close to a major shopping destination. The hotel offered a special rate for those coming into to town to shop. I was already in Arizona visiting friends near Sedona and had planned a side trip into Scottsdale, about 80 miles south of Sedona. The accomodations were very nice, clean and comfortable. There is a small gym, and a bar and restaurant on site. I did not eat at the hotel restaurant - there are too many options within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel staff members were friendly and knowledgable about the local area, especially restaurants. There is a small old town within walking distance. This was a good, "functional" hotel if you visit Scottsdale often or want to shop!
