Although I have only spent 3 nights in this hotel, I would definitely recommend it and will definitely stay here again. It's a very new hotel, having just opened in recent months so of course its clean and not quite established yet.
Its actually located across the parking lot from Orange County Choppers, which if you watch the Discovery channel you have heard of these guys. They just built and opened a newer facility here, and you can walk across the parking lot of the hotel to the shop. Their old location is not far up the road from the hotel either. A must see tourist attraction for the local area as these guys have really made a name for themselves locally. I am told they are well liked and respected for what they have brought to this small town.
The hotel is very similar to the other Hilton Garden hotels I have stayed in over the years. The rooms are standard sized rooms with stand up showers. If you prefer a room with a bath tub, be sure to ask for one when reserving your room. There is also a heated swimming pool, hot tub, and a very nice exercise room. Although small, it has some very nice equipment available for your exercise needs. In the lobby you will find the Great American Grill, a very small hotel restaurant and bar that has limited hours, but a nice place to grab a drink while waiting on friends and colleagues to come down from their rooms. They also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from here as well. Its a nice change from the typical hotel meals you get.
My favorite part of the hotel has got to be the sleep comfort beds, desk chairs, and wide range of cable TV channels available. More than at most hotels I have stayed at. Although I do not have a whole lot of time for TV, it was nice to have a large choice of channels to watch, just like being at home with my satellite service. Beware, if you lay on the bed to watch TV, you will fall asleep, or at least I did every single time. Once you adjust the comfort settings on the bed, you may never want to get up, every single morning I found myself sleeping in later and later. It has convinced me that I need to buy a similar bed for at home!!
Regardless of your reason for staying here, I think you will enjoy it, I know I sure did! My new favorite hotel in the Fishkill/Newburgh area!
