Great for convention, but need to walk far to most tourist spots Nov 07, 2009 Value: Location: Cleanliness: Amenities: Bed: Bathroom & Shower: Service: This location is most convenient if you are visiting the convention center or if you are boarding in a cruise ship, but you will either have to walk far or take a cab to visit the French Quarter and other notable areas. My friends and I walked it and had no troubles, but some areas that you walk through don't feel that safe. An easy way to walk to and from the hotel during the day is through the Riverwalk Marketplace, especially if it is raining. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. 	A clean hotel, good for business traveler Jul 24, 2007 Location was both a plus and a minus - within one block of the Convention Center, but that one block was probably not the best to cross at night.
