Great Location, Beds could use some improvement Mar 26, 2012
Stayed here on my recent trip to Brussels and it's very close to the North Train Station. A convenience when you want to go to the airport as you can hop on the express train. Also it's close to the Rogiers Metro station. You can hop on the metro and go anywhere in Brussels. But the best part was that it was about a 10 min walk to Grand Place. The center of Brussels city. There is a small shopping area right opposite the hotel with decent stores (Zara, Benetton, Leonidas, etc.) Lots of bars so you can binge on Belgian beers and lots of places to eat various types of food. The hotel was OK. As compared to the Hilton in Antwerp, it had a left a lot to be desired. But it worked for two nights. A decent bed, wi-fi included for me and breakfast included for me as well. The bathroom was the weirdest i've seen, where the seat was in a separate little 'closet' and the shower area in a different area. Furthermore, the lights were automatic, so one time I was in the middle of a shower and the lights went out... Weird!!! Decent place to stay. But I would probably try out another hotel next time I'm in Brussels...

Typical Hilton, 15 minutes walking from the 'Grand Place' Oct 30, 2011
Located at Place Rogier, next to other hotels as Sheraton and Crown Plaza. About 15 minutes walking (pedestrian area) from the ‘Grand Place’.

In the middle of the square is a public car park where we left the car (rate for 9 up to 24 hours: € 14,30.

The gentleman at the reception was very friendly and quickly we got a city map with directions to walk to the ‘Grand Place’ and the keys for a twin room on the sixth floor.

We got two key cards, you need them not only to use the elevator, to open your door, but to switch on the electricity too. The room was nicely furnished, not very large (for American standards), well equipped with a flat screen television, a mini bar, a safe deposit box, a/c (though not cooling very well) and complimentary coffee and tea facilities. The bathroom was clean and had a shower in the tub (I do prefer a separate shower!), a hair dryer and small tubes with shampoo, conditioner, bath foam and body lotion.

At night we went out for dinner and were welcomed very friendly by the security as we returned.

In the morning we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. A good choice of bread, juice, fruit, eggs, cheese etc. etc. They bring you coffee or tea on request…. but I preferred the coffee machine with the real stuff (not the American coffee, but the stronger one) where you can serve yourself.

Check out went on smoothly.

We booked the hotel in advance on www.onhotels.com and paid about 78 euros for a twin room including breakfast. A good deal I think.

Hilton Hospitality in Miniature Apr 12, 2008
During the last year I have stayed in about 2 dozen different hotels East of the centre in Brussels. The Hilton definitely has the nicest wellness with fitness, sauna and hamam. There are also some lounge seats to relax between cold shower and sauna.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, and the first time I had a room where the bed just fitted, but that was about it. The second time I got a room on the HHonors floor and that offered some more space. Hilton in miniature. Luckily that is all made up for by the friendliness of the receptionists.

Unfortunately hotels in this price class charge too much for breakfast, it simply is not worth 29,50 euro.

Hilton Brussels City Hotel Oct 01, 2007
I spent two weeks at the this hilton in Brussels. First the bad: the rooms are extremely small, seriously like a walk-in closet, if that. It's very expensive. The breakfast wasn't that great. The bed was average, service average, bathroom average. Now the Good: The location is PERFECT!!! Right across the street from the City-2 Mall and the Rue Neuve Shopping Street. It is also walking distance to the Grand Place, the Casino, Restaurant alley, Pitta Alley*, Botanical Gardens, Cenquintinnaire Park, etc. Plus, the metro is right outside the front entance to the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is not too worried about the price and won't spend much time in the hotel room.
