Okay, so your in Scotland, the chances are its a little cold. But perhaps the sun is shining bright and you don't know what to do. Go into town and see the sights? Visit a cafe? Maybe go to a show? No. Go and get lost. If your close to a forest take a wander. Or get a car and drive until you find one (there are plenty). I've lived in Scotland my whole life and i am still amazed by its beauty. I spend days wandering across the countryside. Not that i would recommend this to anyone who doesn't know the country well. But seriously, take a day to just wander and get lost, and be prepared to have your breath taken away. P.s. take a camera!!

General Travel To Scotland Jun 27, 2011
On a recent trip to Scotland I found it to be a great place to travel.

I found the best way to get around was to hire a cheap diesel car and make your way through all the far off places. The unlucky bit for me was having my sister directing everything as she had been living here for 3 years. After 1001 movie facts I did find maybe 10 or 12 interesting. It is worth going and visiting if you are a Harry Potter fan. You can see all the spots in real life, even riding the Harry Potter train itself.

The cheapest way to travel around was we found was to stay in a B&B you got a cooked breakfast and a good feed in the morning for a fairly cheap price. For lunch and dinner eating at one of the many Pubs was the way to go. It was cheap and you got a great meal. One of these was remember able for me as this random pub was in the middle of nowhere. Inside working was an Ausi and NZ girls. We had a great meal and found out about all the locations around.

Do note the most expensive part of any meal is the drinks whether it is soft drinks or beer you are look a third of the price of a good meal just for a soft drink. Even more for a beer.

It’s a bit hard to travel around on a budget, but if you do it as a working holiday that could help you out.

Overall Scotland is a great place to visit and would recommend it to anyone.
