Close to royal mile Dec 14, 2009
This place is very crowded sort of feels to many people and rooms are too big. The staff at front desk have a really friendly bubbly attitude which is always good and help with charging electronics. The place can get dirty with all the parties and long term Australians staying. There is a big locker in all the rooms. I would recommend this place for a short stay but I wouldn't live here if working in Edinburgh. It is ok and a corner street of the royal mile so you will be in the middle of everything and can reach many bars nearby, there is a party about every night at this hostel in the basement though this is also the kitchen and common room.
