東山公園 Eastern Mountain Park
The ancient cherry blossom tree in the centre of the park is famous throughout Japan and is lit up at night. Lots of lovely temples and scenic benches for sitting and enjoying a bento lunch. (THIS IS A PARK, not a hotel, but TravBuddy keeps switching it to hotel! Arg!)  Part of the list My Kyoto Top Spots
