On the way back from the shark-dive in Gaansbai we stopped in Hermanus. I was impressed by the southern right whales swimming so close to the cost. So I decided to make a stop at Hermanus Backpackers on my way along garden Route.

In Feb. and March 2007 I spent about 2 months in Cape Town doing some volunteering at the World Burn Foundation. I was working on weekdays and traveling at the weekends.

I shipped my Land Rover Discovery to Cape Town and three months later I parked it for a while in Livingstone, Zambia.
Along the way I travelled through South Africa, Leshoto, Swaziland, Namibia and Botswana.

In het winterseizoen migreren Southern Right whales noordwaarts langs de kust richting de warmere wateren van Mozambique. This summer, or winter, depending on which side of the world you're on, I'll be leaving from the summerish Netherlands, to winterish South-Africa. First 4 weeks of volunteering work in a great project, called Masigcine children's home. Than about 3 and a half weeks of traveling with some Italian guy I never met in real life before.
