This morning we woke up and headed west to Pisgah National Forest, which is one of my favorite places in the world. I visit the park at least once a year and take my camera with me every time. ...but what we got was nasty, cold rain! We get enough of that in Birmingham!!! We had all prayed, literally prayed, for snow for that trip. It got us rain, hovering around the 40-degree tempeture mark! Miserable!
We dragged everyone out of bed and to church in Hendersonville. Its was your typical Southern Baptist church...the preacher was big and loud, the choir sung old hymns, and the little old ushers all stood outside in the lobby the entire service talking old-men-gossip. Funny.
