Help Heal Kenya! Reviews

The world loves Kenya. I have received messages of encouragement and hope from people of all walks of life. Thank you all. I am happy to say that though there is still blood shed in Kenya, calm is being restored and the situation is slowly getting back normal. The former UN Secretary General Mr. Koffi Anan is leading a mediation team in the country, trying to broker some accommodation between the two main protagonists. Lets hope he does the magic.
Most of the Internally Displaced People have returned to their homes and others have been relocated. The number of people in camps has reduced from a high of 320,000 to about 170,000 people but sadly, rape is on the rise to the most vulnerable - young girls. In the meantime, fellow Travel Buddies, continue praying for Kenya. Ask for God's intervention so that sense prevails to our leaders. If you had planned to visit the country, and especially on charity related visit, you are needed here now more than ever before. If you had planned to visit on a sight seeing mission of our beautiful country that is rich in culture and wildlife, I can advice you on the safe spots and routes. To all who would want to help in any way, write to me through my email address: jaqkabiru@yahoo.com Pls: The pictures I have posted in this blog only show of the aftermath of the violence. I have tried to avoid the bloody photos of the violence as it happened, which I still have. |
